Temecula, CA – Deciding to delve a little deeper inside the topic of the well written opinion piece by Summer Rain about Miley Cyrus, I found not only where she got her inspiration for the controversial performance from and saw more relevance to the Jon Lajoie rap song spoof, but found Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines inspired a number of parodies.

Presented now as part of a still trending story is the funniest parody I saw so far, Tanned Lines, and after the jump at your voluntary discretion, is Jimmy Kimmel’s effort, the original song video, and finally at the end, the unrated version. It is the last version that inspired Miley Cyrus, no doubt. Then listen to Lajoie’s lyrics again.

Perris, California - A small fire burned a mobile home and a car on Navajo Road in Perris on Wednesday August 28. No injuries were reported, below is a video of the scene.

Wildomar: Man arrested for exposing himself and annoying minors

Wildomar, California - On Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 3:45 PM, a female juvenile was walking alone near

the area of Orchard and Lemon streets, in the city of Wildomar.  A Hispanic male, 22 years, driving a green Geo four-door sedan, approached the juvenile and attempted to get the juvenile into his car. The juvenile fled the area on foot and sought safety at a nearby business. The suspect fled the area in the green car and the juvenile made it safely home. The juvenile provided family members with the car’s description and they provided it to the Wildomar Police.

On Friday, August 23, 2013, at 5:09 PM, a Wildomar Police officer spotted the green car and a Hispanic male who matched the description of the suspect near Limited and Spring Streets in the City of Lake Elsinore. The suspect was pulled over and talking to an adult female who was collecting cans. The suspect was arrested a short time later after he was positively identified as the man who attempted to harass the victim the day before.

The 2013 Labor Day Holiday Weekend kicks off this Friday, August 30, 2013.  Many travelers, visitors and local residents will be enjoying the Colorado River during this upcoming holiday weekend.  The Colorado River Station would like to remind everyone to have an enjoyable but safe holiday weekend.

The Colorado River Station will be conducting boating enforcement on the Colorado River over this busy holiday weekend.  Waterway laws will be enforced in an effort to maintain public safety.

Temecula, CA – Many of my music stories start at The Vault but it is rare that a food review begins at the locally renowned underground music, read all-ages, venue. In a magical valley, magic just happens and so this food review originates in the Ivan Promotions office, on the big guy’s desk actually.

Popping in as I usually do to drop my gear so I can properly ‘social butterfly’, my keen nose caught the whiff of something tasty. Opening the white Styrofoam takeout container revealed an appetizing pile of marinated chicken that was delicious. Finding out it was from a place named Ming’s made me reply, “Flash Gordon would eat here.”

Japan’s nuclear watchdog said last Monday that radioactive water is seeping into the ocean creating an emergency Tepco is struggling to contain. The contaminated groundwater has breached an underground barrier and is rising towards the surface, says the nuclear regulator. More after the jump.

Menifee: McCall Boulevard sidewalk ready for pedestrians

Menifee, California –A new sidewalk along McCall Boulevard is ready for pedestrians, just in time for the start of the new school year. In response to community requests and because pedestrian safety is a top priority, the city completed this new sidewalk on the south side of McCall Boulevard from Sherman Road to an existing sidewalk east of Hillpointe Drive.

“The McCall sidewalk project is a great example of the city using community input to improve our infrastructure,” said Interim City Manager Rob Johnson. “We heard the community’s requests and we delivered a solution in time for the start of the school year.”

The new sidewalk replaces a dirt path and provides a designated place to walk where pedestrians are clearly separated from fast-moving traffic on McCall Road. In addition to creating a safer environment for all pedestrians, the new sidewalk offers a safe school route for students attending Hans Christensen Middle School.

Temecula: Family dispute ends in murder, man arrested

Temecula, California - On Saturday, July 27, 2013, at about 11:02 am, officers assigned to the Southwest

Station responded to the 12000 block of Pechanga Road, in the unincorporated area of Temecula, in reference to a shooting. Deputies arrived within a few minutes and located a deceased male adult who sustained at least one gunshot wound. The property is a large parcel with several houses surrounded by the Pechanga Reservation, but is not associated with the reservation.

Perris: Search warrant nets 57 kilos of weed, 377 plants and 3 arrests

Perris, California - On Thursday, August 1, 2013, officers from the Perris Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, served a search warrant in the 1000 block of Warbonnett Drive, in Perris. The warrant was part of an investigation into illegal marijuana cultivation within the city of Perris.

During the search, evidence of marijuana cultivation and sales, conspiracy, and child endangerment were found resulting in the arrest of two women and one man. Four children ranging from the ages of 4 to 11 years of age were placed into protective custody by Child Protective Services (CPS). Over 57 kilos of packaged marijuana bud and 377 marijuana plants were seized.
